Creative Economy Summit
8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Minot State University 500 University Ave W, Minot, ND 58707
The Creative Economy Summit will inspire communities to embrace and understand arts and culture as an economic driver, along with engaging community members to conduct a deep dive to identify community assets and uncover the potential that exists within their communities. Throughout the event, during meals, breaks and networking opportunities, local artists and musicians will be featured.
The Summit is designed to inspire attendees to look at commonly overlooked assets within communities to leverage opportunities and ideas for economic and community development. We will equip attendees with examples of rural community development efforts taking place across ND, along with a Guidebook that will include case studies, financing opportunities, and partnership opportunities.
This event will elevate local subject matter experts and artists, emphasizing arts and culture and highlighting innovation networks in an accessible way. We will host a Rural Collaboration Panel with an out-of-the-box group of experts discussing their use of overlooked assets and creative funding. Additionally, an Arts & Culture Panel with artistic leaders across the state will discuss best practices, simple solutions and key takeaways for communities to infuse more arts and culture into their community as an economic and community development initiative.
Who should attend? Anyone interested in hearing from entrepreneurs with creative business models, and anyone who wants to learn more about arts and culture opportunities as community and economic development initiatives. Entrepreneurs, lending professionals, developers, government leaders, not-for-profit organizations. We can't wait to see you there!
