Magic Day of Giving 2018 in Minot

Magic Day of Giving is the largest single-day community service event completed by the residents of Minot. 

Join us in giving back to the Magic City!

Sign up as a Volunteer:
Volunteer teams of all ages are invited to sign up and complete a community service project of their choice or complete a project that has been submitted by the community and matched to their team. Volunteers will spend no more than two hours raking, painting, washing windows, improving local parks and nonprofit organizations all while giving back to the Magic City. Teachers are invited to sign up their classrooms to take part, last year many classrooms completed projects they created (ex. food or other supply drives) or projects that were matched to them (at the teacher’s request, projects that could be completed in or out of the classroom). Volunteer team registrations are due August 28, 2018.

Submit a Project:
The community is invited to submit service projects on behalf of civic, religious and non-profit organizations. The organization will be required to supply any necessary supplies and Magic Day of Giving will supply the volunteers. Project submissions are due August 14, 2018.

Sponsors Needed:
Organizations can sponsor projects, allowing Magic Day of Giving to purchase supplies. Many of these projects will be completed by area students in their classrooms. Project sponsorships range from $50 to $250. Sponsors can contact magicdayofgiving@gmail.com for more information. 

The event will kick off on Friday, September 14 with a free breakfast from 8:30am to 10:00am at the Minot Auditorium where volunteers who check in will receive a free Magic Day of Giving t-shirt, while supplies last. Volunteer teams will then complete their two hour long projects throughout the day. 

Blood Drive:
New for 2018, individuals can take part in Magic Day of Giving by donating blood at the Minot Auditorium. United Blood Services will be coordinating the blood drive from 8am to 2pm in room 301 of the Auditorium.
