Roosevelt Park Zoo Fall Volunteer Clean-Up

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Roosevelt Park Zoo 1219 Burdick Expy E, Minot, ND 58701

Fall is in the air at Roosevelt Park Zoo! The trees are gracing us with their bounty of leaves and acorns daily. This means we are in need of volunteers to help get the zoo tidied up before Mother Nature places her blanket of snow across our grounds. To accomplish all that needs to be done, we need YOU! The Roosevelt Park Zoo has opportunities for you, your family, group or your organization to volunteer here at the zoo. The dates for our annual, fall zoo clean up are:

Saturday, October 6th- 10:00am - 3:00pm
Saturday, October 13th - 10:00am to 3:00pm

Some of the tasks may include: raking, shoveling, painting, sweeping, lifting/hauling, organizing or even building if you are a handy person. You are welcome to come for an hour, the day or even all the dates! Please bring gloves and dress for success, keeping the weather and stated projects in mind. Upon arrival, each volunteer will need to sign in at our visitor’s center front desk, as well as sign out when you leave.

We understand that some may want to make it a family event. We love to have as many volunteers help as we can, but we also have to keep the safety of everyone in mind. Therefore, the rules for children volunteering at the zoo are as follows: The minimum age for children for a volunteer day is 6 years old. Any children that are volunteering must have their own parental supervision. Parents should use their discretion as to whether or not their 6 year old would be able to help and if their safety would be an issue.

If your group is interested in joining the volunteer days, please call the Roosevelt Park Zoo office - (701)857-4166 or email . Also, if there are more than 8 people in your group, we would appreciate a sign up call or email. Feel free to share this information with other individuals or groups that you think might be interested in participating. We are ever grateful for any and all help!
