Minot State alumna Dr. Veronica Pinnick will speak about her work on the Sample Analysis on Mars (SAM) instrument on the Curiosity rover currently on the Red Planet. She will also discuss the Mars Organic Molecule Analyser (MOMA) which will be included on the European Space Agency's ExoMars rover, scheduled to launch in the summer of 2020.
She will also touch on proposals for exploration of the ocean worlds of Europa and Titan, as well as cover a little of the field work done on Earth (in Greenland and Chile).
The talk is intended for a general audience and is free and open to the public. Join us in the Cyril Moore Science Center's auditorium.
