On Leap Day, 2016, the Minot International Airport opened its new terminal doors for the first time. At 126,000 ft.² the new terminal is approximately four times the size of the old terminal building. The facility is the largest terminal in North Dakota and the third busiest with service from Delta, United Airlines, and Allegent Air. The airport property features 1,450 parking spaces and 100 vehicle plug-ins. A full-service restaurant and bar, The Trestle Tap House has the ability to serve both airside and landside on the mezzanine floor.

The Airport features more than 400 seats in the hold room and 567 windows to watch the jets as they take off and land. The airport escalators are the second set in the city and there are two conference rooms available by reservation. The two TSA pre-check lanes keep frequent flyers moving smoothly as an added feature for traveling guests.
