The Minot Symphony, a university and community orchestra, aims to enrich lives by providing opportunities for musicians and inspiration to patrons through education and the performance of diverse orchestral repertoire.
Since 1925, the Minot Symphony Orchestra has been a unique blend of student, community, and professional musicians from NW North Dakota. The symphony is directed by Maestro Efraín Amaya, assistant professor of music at Minot State University, and provides 6 public performances annually. All concerts take place in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall located inside Old Main on the campus of Minot State University.
