While it is technically still fall, the cooler temps are a reminder that winter is just around the corner. Whether you’re new to the Minot, ND area or you’re a seasoned resident, it never hurts to brush up on some winter safety tips! In honor of Severe Winter Weather Awareness Week (Nov. 4-8), we’d like to share some resources to help you prepare and navigate your way through the upcoming winter season.
Before the severe weather hits, it’s important to ensure your homes and vehicles are ready for winter weather. One of the primary concerns is the winter weather’s ability to knock out heat, power and communications services to your home or office, sometimes for days at a time. As far as driving in the severe winter weather, the best advice is to stay off the roads until conditions improve.
