19 Mar Prairie Quilt Festival: March 21-23
The 21st annual Minot Prairie Quilt Festival will be held March 21, 22 & 23, 2014 at the Grand Hotel in Minot, ND. Whether you are a brand new quilter or an experienced hand, or anywhere in between, you’re encouraged to “Give Your Imagination Wings” at this year’s event! You’ll discover a wide selection of classes, lectures and demonstrations so there is really a little something for everyone. Quilters from all over the area will be gathering for three days of hands-on quilting classes, sharing tips and more. Even if you have been quilting for years, you can still learn something new!
This year, the Prairie Quilt Festival will be welcoming two national teachers, Brenda Henning of Bear Paw Productions and quilt historian Mary W. Kerr. Mary will also be the banquet speaker. Both ladies are offering classes. Jennifer Feller, the current teacher chair and past Festival chair will serve as the Featured Quilter.
A main stay of the Festival is all of the wonderful vendors. They are working hard: getting their fabrics, kits, patterns and tools ready so you will have lots to shop for during these three days. The hours of the quilt show, flea market, tea room, class schedules and when the registration table is open is listed online here. Remember, it is only $3.00 to come and view the quilt show and shop the vendor mall but it is FREE to registrants. Be sure to check out all the beautiful quilts located in the vendor mall area along with the ones across the hall in the banquet room and the Community Service quilts in the tea room. Quilts by national teachers are on display as well as challenge quilts with, of course, the theme “Give Your Imagination Wings”.
