22 Nov Black Friday and Small Business Saturday in the Magic City!
This week annually brings so much excitement for families and shoppers alike. Thursday’s Thanksgiving activities lead into the year’s largest shopping event, Black Friday. Even though Friday is in the name, many of the festivities in Minot will kick off Thursday afternoon.
JC Penney’s is leading the day by opening Thursday at 3pm. JC Penney’s is located in Dakota Square Mall.
Now, for those confused, the Dakota Square Mall did announce several months ago that they would not open on Thanksgiving as they wanted to keep Thursday about family. Many of the large stores who have their own entrances do have the opportunity to open their doors at their discretion. Therefore, you can access many of those stores on Thursday evening.
11:30 AM – Thursday
3 PM – Thursday
5 PM – Thursday
6 PM – Thursday
7 PM – Thursday
Friday Morning, most of the Dakota Square Mall stores will open at 6AM and Scheels will open their doors at 7AM.
As the crazy Black Friday shopping settles, Downtown Minot is hosting its annual Old Fashion Christmas Open House from 3PM-8PM! From wagon rides to milk and cookies with Santa, there is plenty for families to do on Downtown Main Street. Locally owned businesses are offering many sales and staying open late. The traditional tree lighting will happen at 6PM! Check out the flyer at the bottom of this blog for all the details of the Old Fashion Christmas.
As the Black Friday shopping extravaganza comes to a close, small businesses take the spotlight on Saturday with the #ShopSmall campaign. Downtown Minot merchants and locally owned businesses are welcoming shoppers into their establishments on Saturday as the nationally recognized Small Business Saturday campaign takes over. We invite you to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner, and then ‘Get Out and Play in Minot’!
