Zebras Return to Roosevelt Park Zoo

MINOT, ND – The Roosevelt Park Zoo is excited to announce that our zebras have returned to the zoo grounds and are out on exhibit.  One female, Spirit, and her offspring from the spring of 2011, Harding, are now back in their home.  Harding was named after long-time RPZ volunteer, John Harding, who recently passed away.

Harding was born shortly before evacuation occurred, and they spent time at the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton, the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck, and most recently at Tanganyika Animal Park in Kansas.  We thank those institutions for their support in transporting and caring for our animals.

Come visit Roosevelt Park Zoo and welcome the zebras home!
