Come Learn the ins and outs of the popular sport of Pickleball with the Parks pro staff in this 2-day Youth Clinic!
On the pickleball courts and at our tournaments we have seen the age of players get younger and younger.
To help these players get better and grow the sport locally the Minot Parks District is hosting a 2-day youth pickleball clinic at River Side Park on May 16th and 17th.
The time for both days will be 6 pm – 8 pm. Limited Spots are available.
Ages allowed will be from 10 – 16 years old and the cost will be $10 per child per day.
Thursday, May 16th: This will be geared toward kids who have not played pickleball before.
We will cover the rules and flow of the game. We will also learn basic skills and shots through fun games and drills.
Friday, May 17th: This will be geared toward kids who have played before and will pick up the session the day before.
In this session, we will cover strategy, positioning, and some advanced skills and shots also through games and drills.
These sessions are designed so that if your child has never played, they will go through both sessions.
Kids who have played before and understand the basic rules and shots will attend the Friday session and advance their skills and knowledge.
We ask for everyone to supply their own paddle, but we do have some available to borrow for the session. Please call ahead if you need to borrow one.
